The paper Complete Works of Voltaire do not contain images and illustrations which have accompanied many of Voltaire’s texts in several popular editions, nor most of the cover images used for individual texts. This collection can be added to the digital edition and re-establish the links between text and images. In addition, the Voltaire Foundation has been gifted a comprehensive database of Voltaire iconography, collated and critically commented on by Professor Sam Taylor (St Andrew’s). The addition of this database to Digital Enlightenment enables links to art history, historical collections, and paraphernalia illustrating the developing cult of personality around Voltaire.
