Palmes académiques for Gillian Pink

We are delighted to announce that our colleague, Gillian Pink, has been appointed Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes académiques by the French Minister for Education, Higher Education and Research.

This distinction recognises her outstanding career as a leading specialist of the Enlightenment, and particularly of Voltaire. It acknowledges her major contribution to the publication of the Œuvres complètes de Voltaire, her scholarly work in advancing the study of eighteenth-century thought and literature and her commitment to promoting French culture in the UK.
