Dr Katarzyna Anna Kapitan

Katarzyna is postdoctoral research fellow in digital scholarship at the Voltaire Foundation and the Division of Humanities and Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College.

With background in history, archaeology, and medieval Icelandic studies, Katarzyna specialises in manuscripts studies and digital humanities. Her expertise lies in digital scholarly editing and computational analysis of pre-modern texts and manuscripts. 

Before moving to Oxford in 2021, she held postdoctoral positions at the University of Copenhagen, University of Iceland, National Museum of Iceland, and Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle, for which she won highly competitive individual grants from the Carlsberg Foundation and the Independent Research Fund Denmark. Katarzyna received her PhD in Nordic Studies from the University of Copenhagen in 2018.
