Dr Laura Nicolì
Laura Nicolì is Research Associate at the Voltaire Foundation and former Research Fellow at the “Fondazione 1563 per l’Arte e la Cultura”.
In 2019-2020 she has been Postdoctoral Fellow at the Voltaire Foundation in association with the LabEx OBVIL at Sorbonne Université, after being Early Career Fellow at the Lichtenberg-Kolleg in Göttingen (2017-2019) and at the Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Storici in Naples (2016-2017). Her research focuses on eighteenth-century history of philosophy and history of ideas, especially French and Scottish philosophy of religion. Her book Les Philosophes et les Dieux. Le polythéisme en débat dans la France des Lumières was published in 2022 by Honoré Champion. She is currently working on the born-digital critical edition of Paul-Henri Thiry d’Holbach’s La Contagion sacrée, ou Histoire naturelle de la superstition (1768).
