The Complete Works of Voltaire (Œuvres complètes de Voltaire) being published by the Voltaire Foundation is the first critical edition of the totality of his writings (in the original French), arranged chronologically to reveal the evolution of his thought. Each text benefits from an introduction, variants and comprehensive annotation (in either English or French). 201 of 203 volumes have appeared, with the remaining volumes scheduled for publication by the end of 2020.

Since its inception as Studies on Voltaire and the Eighteenth Century in 1955, nearly 600 books have been published within the series. Strongly international in focus, and from August 2018 published on behalf of the Voltaire Foundation by Liverpool University Press, Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment publishes scholarly work in English or French to advance learning across a broad range of disciplines: History, History of ideas/Philosophy, History of the book, Theatre, Literature, Visual arts & Music, Science & Economics and Women’s studies.

The Voltaire Foundation publishes in hardback and online the correspondences of key French thinkers of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, including those of Voltaire, Rousseau, Bayle, Graffigny, Morellet and La Beaumelle.

Due to uncertainty surrounding post-Brexit trade agreements we need to advise you that deliveries to Europe may take longer than normal to arrive and are also potentially subject to local import charges. 

It is our understanding that there should not be any additional import charges on print books, and so far we have not heard of any of our customers being charged. However, since at this stage we are unable to obtain any concrete information, if you proceed with the order we are unable to reimburse you for any local charges and you will be fully liable for their payment.
